Flooded Elevator Shaft

Water Crisis

During Hurricane Matthew, SERVPRO of Lakeland traveled up the coast to assist neighboring franchises and the people the service. This picture was taken after an elevator shaft filled up from the bottom and flooded out the first floor and parking garage. 

There was mud and muck covering the tile and gallon after gallon of significantly contaminated storm water needed to be pumped from the shaft in order for it to dry. 

Once the water was extracted from both the elevator shaft and the resulting affected areas, we went to work cleaning up after the mess.
